Top 5: Movies I’m looking forward to watching in 2013

I felt it was time for me to do my first “top #” lists, not because every site seems to do them now but it’s a way for me to put my thoughts in order. Hopefully you enjoy them as much as I am writing them. Here is my list of the films that I am looking forward to watching that are being released this year.

#5.) STORAGE 24

This would have been so much higher on my list tha it is except for a fatal mistake. I love creature features so when news of this movie started popping up I got very excited. The downside to this was right in the trailer and it breaks the number one rule of making a good creature feature film. They show off the alien in the freaking trailer. They should have paid more attention to Alien in my opinion.

#4.) WORLD WAR Z

It feels like so far the 2010+ are the years of the zombie. Once the movies started to become more and more mainstream e number of zombie films grew faster than it should have in my opinion. The only reason this is on my list is the fact they are really trying to give this one a go, they have an all star cast and the trailer looks great. The biggest knock to it is that it’s a zombie film and I’m getting sick of zombies.

#3.) TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE 3D

I know this film is not going to be the horror version of Lord of the Rings, nothing that is going to blow me away but I can’t help myself. I did not like the remake, I felt the first one was good enough to stand up on its own two feet regardless of the films age. I do like Leatherface as a horror icon and can’t wait to see him again even if its going to be a bad movie. Again this is something I just can’t help myself.

#2.) WOULD YOU RATHER

The first thing I think I wrote about for the site was this movie. The longer I wait for this movie the more I’m interested in it, there really isn’t much more I can say about it. Brittany Snow isn’t the best actress out there but the work in the trailer is solid, Sasha Grey has a few excellent lines and I am still hoping that it gets released and it’s good.

#1.) CARRIE

Stephen King is one of my favorite writers of all time and once I heard that there were redoing this film again I was worried but the trailer really turned me around. I think it looks amazing, it is only a teaser but I thin this one will become the definitive version of this story.
